Nights of November are always quite confusing. Don’t get into deep thoughts. I am just talking about dressing. I was confused about what to wear on my masi ji’s daughter’s birthday. At last I decided to wear jeans & shirt and a pair pf new shoes bought recently. At about 7o’clock me along with my family reached at masi ji’s house. My family includes my mother, my younger brother and father. But on birthday only my mom and me were present there. Sun had set and lights were up and with our entry to their house every one greeted each other warmly. The financial condition of masi ji was in a developing state ( just like india- a developing nation). They had their own house but it was small, though hosting about 20 members for the party. Party was just about to start when we entered. Cake was cut into pieces ruthlessly to kill the hunger of guests, alongwith samosas and sweets also. Dance party also got started where all the house members got indulged in, and I was sitting alone somewhere in the corner of that room. My cousin found me getting bored, though I was not getting because I was watching people dancing out there on the floor. During the dance, a girl was catching attraction of all the members over there, might b because there were not so many young people and out of them only 2 young girls of which 1 was a family member and other was a neighbor. She was dancing beautifully, with proper and graceful steps. My cousin dragged me to the dance floor and anyhow I joined them and managed to keep my steps and hands rolling over to dance. Somehow I peeped a way to get out of that dance party and went upstairs in an open sky. Stars, moon, and a black background, with a cool breeze just made me feel relaxed and I started enjoying the breeze. After some time my cousin (roshni) found that I was not dancing so she came upstairs to find me out.
Roshni: bhaiya, why are you here and why are you not dancing????????
Me: I am not in mood to dance. Please let me enjoy this night with silence…..
Roshni: ok as you wish
Me: will you kindly bring me a chair…
Roshni: ok I will ….. wait
She came down with a chair in one hand and another chair in another girl’s hand…. ( 2nd young girl in the party). She joined me there and my cousin introduced me with her.
Roshni: bhaiya this is priya, and priya this is my brother Nikhil….
Priya: hiii….
Me: hello….
And we shooked hands with each other and passed a sweet smile …..
And within a second my cousin went downstairs as masi ji was calling her
Priya: why were you not dancing???
Me: ummmm….. it was just because I was not in a mood, and moreover I am not a good dancer like you……
Priya: oh thank you for appreciating….. by the way what are you doing?
Me: I have took admission in engineering and now I am in first year of ece branch…… n what about you??????
Priya: I am doing +1 in non medical from dav college….
Me: that’s really great. Want to be an engineer?
Priya: not really, but my parents dream…..
Me: ok
Somehow her foot struck along my foot and small amount of dust got pver my shoes. I pulled out my handkerchief and started cleaning my newly brought shoes in front of her.
Priya: you clean your shoes with your handkerchief?????
Me: yes….. I love my shoes and I don’t like when someone strike my foot like this ( I felt that I was making such a nuiscence talks with her, obviously if one is wearing shoes so dust will fall on it, but I still fil it was my one of the funniest lines I have ever said to a girl)
Priya: oh I am sorry, it was by mistake
Me: its ok.
Priya: your eyes are very beautiful….
Me: oh really???? Newas thanku for it but how did you noticed them in dark night?
Priya: ummmm , noticed also but usually those who wears spectacles have beautiful eyes.
(unfortunately she was also wearing specs, lol)
Me: ohke, I didn’t noticed yours but you also are having those.
Some one called me from downstairs and I have to leave the company of priya.
Me: newas it was nice talking to you
Priya: same here
It was time for us to leave. We left the house at around 10 after having the dinner.
One day my dad was driving car and a call came from an unknown no.
Dad: hello
Unknown no.: hello, how are you?
Dad: I am fine, who are you/???????
Unknown no.: hawwww….. you forget every thing. I spent that evenong talking to you. You forgot that, you forgot meeeee????????? I am priya who met you on that birthda night.
Dad: sorry, but the person you are expecting is my son and he is not along with me now. So whenever I reaches home I will inform him about you.
Unknown no.: oh sorry uncle,
And in a sec call got ended.
My dad told me about the call and I took that issue in a casual way. Some how I came to know that priya asked my no. from roshni and she gave my dad’s no. . this is how this big confusion was created.
One day I decided to call her. I took her no. from roshni and called on that no. the bell was ringing and in a moment some one picked up the phone, a male on the other side
Male: hello
Me: hello whose this?
Male: you called us who are you???
Me: I am sunny priya’s friend can I talk to her??????
Male: wait
He called his mother, then I came to know that he was priya’s brother and was calling his mom
Priya’s mom: yes whose this?
Me: namastey aunty, I am summy priya’s frind can I talk to her
Aunt: which sunny, I mean which area????
Me: aunty I live in anand vihar (I don’t know why I was lying so much to talk to her, and was wandering why is it so that girl’s parents always asks so many questions before just having a talk with a girl)
Aunt: wait (she gave a call tp priya, and at last she was up on the other side)
Priya: hello
Me: hi priya, I am nikhil remember me???
Priya : oh hiiii
Me: how are you?
Priya : I am fine. How are you???? I caled you once but that was your dad’s no.
Me: oh yes , my dad told me,
We talked for about 5 minutes and I felt that her mom and brother was standing just beside her. So thought to finish the talk and let her handle the situation. Call ended and in a hurry I forgot to tell her that what I told her mom and brother that I am sunny from anand vihar.
Next day roshni told me that priya’s brother scolded her and even beated her due to my fault because I called her.
After few days roshni called her and told her about my situation that I felt that it would not hav been safe to tell my original name to her. I was sitting near roshni and asked her to let me talk to her
Me: hello priya, just listen to me once and I will not talk to you again.
Priya : yes tell me.
Me: I am sorry for that day. I didn’t did that intentionally and was about to tell you everything but forgot to tell because of the situation. I am really sorry.
Priya: its ok and it was my mistake also I am also sorry for that
(I wandered what was the mistake that I did for which she felt so sorry about)
I gave the call to roshni and they talked for another minute and ended up.
After few days I came to know that the family of priya shifted their house from that area and went in some other colony. Roshni told me that she was even deployed from studying after +2. She took a job of receptionist in a mall there. And I felt that the reason behind that was only my mistake that I did by calling her.
